How are you guys going to spend your holidays fruitfully?
Start your holiday off with a blast by joining Adventure Carnival 2011, an exciting event which provides you an opportunity to have fun and loosen up! It comprises of amazing race, sports and many other exciting and happening games. There are a total of 10 innovative games waiting to support you.
Adventure Carnival 2011 includes various exciting and never before seen games like ‘Catch em’ all’, ‘Watermelon Festival’, Soapy Slide and etc. It also provides an opportunity for students from S.I.T. and S.C.L. to interact and bond together. All this games will be held at various location within the NYP campus.
Therefore, you are invited to join us in this event where you will enjoy a whole new experience of games. And also, being the first collaboration between School of Information Technology (SIT) Club and School of Chemical and Life Sciences (SCL) Club, we guarantee there will be awesome fun.
Wait no more! Adventure Carnival 2011 welcomes you to a day of fun filled activities and fun in the sun! Get yourself form in groups of 6 – 8 participants for this post-exam event!
The event will be held on 7th September 2011, Wednesday, from 12noon to 6pm at Nanyang Polytechnic Campus.
Online Registration for Adventure Carnival 2011 will be held from NOW till 5th September 2011 @ 2359hr.

HEARTZOUT'11/12
HeartzOut 11/12 planners, helpers and EXCOs gathered on Saturday, the 30th of July 2011,
to witness the happening of HeartzOut 11/12,
an event which aims to bring joy and happiness to young children,
and instill important values that will benefit the children in their future.
These are the EXCOs who came along :)
Raniel and Nabilah were the Overall-In-Charge (OIC) for this meaningful event,
and together with the other planners and helpers, they led the children around Jurongville Secondary School,
to play their ice-breakers and station games :)
Although the children were split into 5 different groups,
they were also given the chance to mingle with other groups,
during the origami session and performances that all the planners, helpers and EXCOs brought for them :)

The HeartzOut 11/12 event ended with our OICs expressing their appreciation and gratitude by taking a group picture with the following people:

our S.I.T. Club's Advisor Mr. Ang,
ICE³ representive Ms. Sheena Lim, and
the In-Charge from Loving Hearts Centre :)
HeartzOut 11/12 was a huge success as planners and helpers were able to run the event pretty smoothly, and and the children from Loving Hearts Centre had fun interacting with all our helpers :)
STANDOUT'11/12
On Friday, the 22nd of July 2011, all planners and helpers gather to help out in the first-ever StandOut 11/12 competition, which aims to motivate and boost the confidence of the participants,
so that they will be able to bring out their best talents & showcase them, in front of a live audience.

After the first round of competition, the Top 3 finalists emerged,
and they go all out to compete for the next round (:
The audience were given the chance to vote for their favourite participant(s) via SMS,
and the lines closed at 9.15pm sharp that night.
Our 2nd Runner-up was... Aysha!

Impressing us with her amazing belly dance performance,
she came in third and won $100 worth of Capita vouchers!
Our 1st Runner-up was the Acoustic Duo, Frederick and Hakim!
They sang a medley of songs, like Breakeven and Fall For You, which moved our judges and audience,
and they walked away with $150 worth of Capita vouchers!
Last but not least, Ya!Ben? displayed their awesome dance moves and together,
both guys emerged as Champion for the StandOut competition!
They won $250 worth of Capita vouchers,
and with that, the StandOut competition officially comes to an end.
To sum it up, StandOut 11/12 was a fun-filled night,
and though this event is the first of its kind,
all planners and helpers did their best to make StandOut 11/12 a success, by ensuring the crowd was settled and to ensure there was no major hiccups in the flow of the event.
